I have two black wires running to a light switch that I need to extend about a foot. I cannot identify the hot wire because both wires are black and I have no white wire. Can I cap off both wires and then test each with a voltmeter? If the circuit is not complete, will the hot wire still be live?

I’ve been thinking of moving from York to central London with the hope of getting a job in a large investment bank. I have some friends who are working in investment banks of which a couple have moved from places like Surrey to be in London. There seems to be a popular theme of stress and long unbearable working hours when working in London, specifically in financial companies. I want to know how much of this is actually true and whether its just caused by bad self management? I feel extremely driven and have always enjoyed being in London and think I could cope, but never actually worked there. Working in York seems too chilled out and quiet but is it worth moving to work in the city for the higher salary? Is working in an investment bank or other financial firms in the city really too stressful to handle?

And how? We want to grow some berry bushes at our house, but those of you that live in Colorado know that there are quite a few plants that aren’t compatible with the climate, elevation, etc. Could you also mention what types work best? Thanks!

Het is heel belangrijk dat het venster eenheid houdt eigenlijk mijn kamer koud, en hoewel dat vanzelfsprekend lijkt, mijn laatste venster eenheid was absoluut verschrikkelijk. Heeft iemand suggesties voor merken en modellen? De ene I'm getting rid of een Samsung, en ik waarschijnlijk niet kopen, ooit een AC van hen opnieuw.

Kan ik de verbinding start kabel als de auto's lopen?

Hi all! Ik denk dat mijn auto heeft een slechte batterij. Ik was succesvol in het springen begint mijn auto met een andere auto. Ik kon krijgen gestart en draait voor een paar minuten met start kabels. Ik heb toen bleek zowel auto's uit, losgekoppeld van de start-kabel. Mijn auto kan niet worden gestart dan zonder de kabel. Kan ik mijn verbinding start kabel wanneer de twee auto's worden nog steeds weergegeven? Op die manier kan ik de auto bij een auto-shop en hebben de batterij vervangen. Bedankt. Felix.

Welke verf, als ik naar zand, enz.     • I have a rotary controlled dimmer switch that I’m gonna mount by my bed and I want to wire it into just the lights on my ceiling fan (I may get a seperate switch for the fan at a later date) so that I have dimming control of the lights. The wires I have available are: coming out of the ceiling = White, Black & Green. Coming from fan = Blue, white & Green. The dimmer control switch = has 2 black wires together and green by itself.     • I live in NC and I’d like to start a small flower garden in front of my home. It’s in an area that gets sunlight periodically during the day. I believe there used to be flowers there because there’s a decorative brick border around the area but it’s overrun with weeds and there are no flowers there now. The soil is pretty good I’d say…not too dry or hard. How do I start a flower garden? I’m interested in some periennials and some annuals…can those be grown together?
